L‘arrivo a Bandiagara avviene da Nord-Ovest, lungo una strada ben asfaltata e a due corsie. Arrivato a Sevaré, l’autobus si ferma per raccoglier passeggeri. Al bordo del Delta del Niger, la città è animata da un via vai di persone che atterrano nel piccolo aeroporto e da lì si disperdono per il paese salendo su un autobus del tutto simile a quello su cui viaggio. In dodici ore raggiungeranno Bamako a circa 650 km di distanza, direzione Sud-Ovest.
Dallo schietto scenario africano a Barcellona alla ricerca di modi nuovi, di un ripensamento partendo dal quotidiano, di azioni necessarie per reinventare le dinamiche del vivere.
A Bandiagara la presenza dei rifiuti è affrontata come una risorsa piuttosto che come un problema e, attraverso un sistema aperto, mostra le potenzialità dei materiali di scarto di trasformarsi in materiale da costruzione economico, efficace ed ampiamente diffuso.
Progettare secondo necessità ed autoprodurre partendo da mezzi deboli si rivelano compatibili con il territorio, lasciano spazio ai bricoleurs di riprodurre e variare l’esistente, creare nuove attività che generano introiti per le famiglie, migliorare le condizioni di potabilità, ottimizzare l’uso dell’energia ecc. Un manuale di istruzioni semplici ma efficaci per un design diffuso, realizzabile, raggiungibile.

non si smette mai di imparare...o forse non abbaiamo mai iniziato realmente a farlo.. convinti di saper gestire tutto, noi senza i "potenti mezzi" saremmo persi..servirebbe un po' di Bandiagara style per tutti, un po' di Bandiagara ovunque...Lally
Okay, I did a pathetic job of trying to understand this post, as well as make some quasi readably english equavalent of what I thought it said.
So, have a laugh.

Comparing the scenery of Afrika with Barcelona during my research into the new developments, I had a change of mind on the matter of the publicity necessary to develop a set of living standards. In Bandiagara the present state of rejection confronts a bringing up a solution and rather brings forth a problem, contrary to an open system, showing how promising the garbage material which is transformed into cheap construction components, in an efficient and doable manner.
The second necessity is an automated means of producing parts that are compatible with the terrain. The is plenty of space for the ´crafting people´ manufacture a variety of essentials, creating new activities which have become hobbies for the whole family, also looking at the various future possibilities, like using solar energy, etc. A way of teaching simple but effective, obtrusive and realisable way.
